I don't care anymore. The Indian contingent have displayed enormous hypocrisy and Ponting irritates me. I love cricket! Been watching it devotedly for fifty years or so. But I will not be engaging my mind in its affairs any further this season. I will wait until next year, after the footy.

Indians are racist, crude and horrible

I used to like and admire the Indians. Now I can't stand them. As for Cricket Australia ... hrmmmf! I have lost all interest in watching racists playing the game. The way the Indians have treated this matter tells me that Indians are indeed racists ... it is racist to deny that their words could cause grievous offence to a fellow human. To call Symonds a 'monkey' and to deny it; then to change tune and say 'Oh it was Mah ki [another offensive word], not monkey' is tantamount to racism. They couldn't give a rat's arse for the offence caused to Symonds. After all, he's just a .....I wish they had gone home.

Jokovic and Joe Kuvich

What amazes me is that Jokovic has been turned into Joe Kuvich by an American who, as with nearly all Americans, cannot pronounce the simple letter 'O', as in jock. What sickened me and my family [and we are not Serbs] is that the Australians, obsequiious as ever, also called the young Serb Joe Kuvich. Do we Australians always have to ape the Americans? Are we still that culturally so weak that we have to align ourselves with just about everything the Yanks do and say?

Lewd messages from Telstra

Is this why I keep getting lewd phone calls from telstra, deep into the night, throaty sounds that beckon me into sensual fantasies, laughter in the background, chinking of glasses, sudden disconnections? Telstra? The local porn shop!

What exactly is Australia? A nation in name only, a collective that is not a collective, a bunch of royalists that continue to see themselves as monarchists, a plethora of identity-less vagrants on a vague search for who knows what in never never land...Howard serves only a few and those few are the dominant tribe in this segmented jigsaw that is named Australia.

Your comment has been published:'I say, old man,.' he grumbled as Tendulkar was given out, 'wasn'tt that a bit off the off stump?' Well, I looked at him for a while and then I replied, ' Yes, it took old mate Bowden a bit of a think to give him out this time.' He continued to grumble. 'Ah yes,' he moaned, ' I suppose Bowden had to give him out this time because ... ' I didn't hear what he had to say. But the look on his face said it all. The game had become a farce. I had wondered off into the garden. I had become disenchanted. Bored. Contemptuous of the game that had been held to ransom by the Indians. To view your comment online go to: http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/comments/0,,23064448-5001023,00.htmlPlease note the Editor may have slightly edited your comment to be suitable for publishing.

The police need to be taken from their jobs and re-educated. They are not our gods. They are our servants and they need to be told this in very strong terms. We are NOT a Fascist state and the police must understand this very important fact.

Micriophones fitted to Indians

I understand that every Indian on the sub continent is equipped with long range microphones that pick up conversations on the SCG. This helps the Indians make statements proclaiming Harbijan's innocence. 'He didn't make that remark,' they insist with absolute certainty, 'Harbijan does not know that word. It is not a racist term. Indians would never use that word in a racist context.' For one, I am glad to be assisted to the truth by these microphone-fitted authorities. And I am glad that they did not hear Harbijan's remarks to Roy Symonds. Because they did not hear it, they proclaim logically, Harbijan did not say it. QED.

The Haneef case did not help the Australian image in India. Many feel this cultural and political baggage weighs down the attempts by both countries to move on to greener fields.

How on earth would any Indian official know what the hell Singh said to Symonds. In effect, the entire Indian contingent is calling Symonds a liar. This in itself is enough to justify caning the lot of them.

Nop respect for India's racism

I used to respect India and its cricketers but now I find the whole Indian idea to be repulsive to me. The Mumbai mob reflected the racist ideology that has pervaded India for many years. The hypocrsiy of India toward South Africa was indicative of the desperate nature of your bid to appear non racist. But you are a racist country and calling Symonds a monkey only illustrates this point. Shame on India!

Ponting should be sacked

I agree with Peter Roebuck and a growing number of cricket people that Ponting should be sacked. He is a disgrace to cricket. His mean attitude and horrible manners should not be allowed to be construed as typically Australian. Then there is Dr Haneef! Has not the Haneef affair helped to promote the reputation of Australians as being racist? Unfair? Rude?

Mumbai reckoning

Great game and it produced within my household such a happiness that I was sure it could be felt as far away as Mumbai. Yes, I remembered images of the Mumbai crowd hurling abuse at Roy Symonds and my heart exploded with extra happiness that the Mumbai people would not be so grandiloquently disgusting in their humbling defeat.

While Roy and Brad were belting it out in the middle of the SCG yesterday, I was reflecting on the 6 billion dollar Hornet stuffup, the 1.9 billion frigate stuffup, the 1.6 billion foreign exchange stuffup, and the still-to-be-told stories of penury, insult and injury caused to hundreds of thousands of economically impoverished Australians by Howard and his henchmen. It is ironic that Howard has not been held to account for all this crokk management. Why?
