The Haneef case did not help the Australian image in India. Many feel this cultural and political baggage weighs down the attempts by both countries to move on to greener fields.

How on earth would any Indian official know what the hell Singh said to Symonds. In effect, the entire Indian contingent is calling Symonds a liar. This in itself is enough to justify caning the lot of them.
